The Surrey Photographic Association (SPA) returns to Guildford House with its biennial exhibition of photographic prints and projected digital images from the best work of the participating camera clubs in Surrey, West Sussex and North-East Hampshire. The prints shown are in three classes; Colour, Monochrome and Nature, whilst there are two classes in projected digital imaging, Open and Nature.

Tunsgate – a century of change

This display is researched and produced by the Friends of Guildford Museum and is the second of our exhibitions curated by community groups. In 1918 the Tunsgate area of Guildford was a narrow, dark, mostly residential street next to the fire damaged remains of a large draper’s store. It was transformed into ‘the place to be’ with the Picture Playhouse cinema and Boxer’s Café.

Jennie Tuffs is a Londoner now working near Edinburgh. She pioneered the fine-art use of her medium, unforgiving liquid acrylics, for her portraits of flowers.
