The first concert given by G Live’s resident orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2019/20 Guildford International Concert Season, will be a great celebration of British music. The highlights of the evening will be Vaughan Williams’ Lark Ascending, Elgar’s Enigma Variations, his Pomp & Circumstance March No. 4, a selection of delightful music from Handel’s Water Music and then an orchestral rendition of Parry’s Jerusalem.
There will also be a number of less well known works all of which add up to a most English of evenings.
