Guildford Chamber Choir under the direction of their new Principal Conductor, Max Barley, sing Brahms’s Requiem in a version with the accompaniment arranged by Iain Farrington for chamber ensemble. The programme will also include motets by Brahms’s great predecessor, Heinrich Schütz. Our soloists will be Miranda Johnson (soprano) and Martin Johnson (baritone) and we will be joined by an ensemble of distinguished Surrey-based musicians. In support of Citizens Advice.
There will be a short (10 min) interval during the concert. After the concert there will be a reception with refreshments in the church to welcome Max on his debut with the choir.
