As part of Guildford Borough’s weekend of remembrance and commemoration, we are delighted to be hosting this grand community event at GLive. The concert will be very similar to the Festival of Remembrance held at the Royal Albert Hall, and will feature music from Vivace Chorus and the Friary Guildford Band, along with readings by Dame Penelope Keith, HM Lord Lieutenant of Surrey and Col. Guildford Chamber Choir under the direction of their new Principal Conductor, Max Barley, sing Brahms's Requiem in a version with the accompaniment arranged by Iain Farrington for chamber ensemble. The programme will also include motets by Brahms's great predecessor, Heinrich Schütz.
